JOHN MCGUINESS CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
1990 : First race, Aintree, UK on KR1S 250cc Kawasaki.

1991 : Won 250cc Production British Clubmans championship on 250cc Kawasaki. Fifth in SuperTeen championship.

1992 : Won Shell scholarship to race FZR400 Yamaha. Suffered broken right scaphoid mid-year, ended season.

1993 : Rode a 250cc Yamaha, minimal races due to lack of funds.

1994 : Rode a 250cc Yamaha, minimal races due to lack of funds.

1995 : Rode a 250cc Yamaha, minimal races due to lack of funds.

1996 : Raced for Paul Bird team on 250cc Honda, finished 10th in British championship. Finished 15th on TT debut and won 'fastest newcomer' award.

1997 : Raced for Aprilia UK in 250cc British championship, finished fifth. Third in 250cc Isle of Man TT.

1998 : Raced for Vimto Honda team on RS250, finished fourth in British championship. Finished 12th in 500cc British Grand Prix on NSR500V as wild card. Broke left scaphoid which ended season early.

1999 : Won 250cc British championship riding Vimto RS250 Honda. Won Isle of Man 250cc TT, won Daytona 200 250cc race.

2000 : Riding for Vimto Honda team, leading 250cc British championship, suffered a broken hip to end season. Won Daytona 200 250cc race, won Isle of Man Singles TT, finished third in Isle of Man Formula One TT. Made debut in Supersport class with rides for Castrol Honda British championship team.

2001 : Raced for Castrol Honda British team, finished third in British Supersport championship. Won Macau Grand Prix on Honda Fireblade.

2002 : Racing for Honda UK race team in World Supersport championship. Finished 19th in Valencia, Spain; missed Phillip Island, Australia race due to injury; missed Kyalami, South Africa race due to illness.
